Job Description

Position: Business Development Consultant

Region: East Africa

Location: Kenya

Level: 5

Reports To: Regional Sales Manager Job Objective:

The purpose of this post is to manage existing accounts and create new sales opportunities within the Kenyan and East African markets.

Essential Functions

Engage and partner with customers both new and existing to drive growth in business services/enterprise ICT solutions and corporate internet sales by creating value and bringing innovation to our customer’s business
Development and execution of account strategy
Development of solid business plans
Manage an extended account team to ensure that our business services division becomes the primary international communications service provider to the customer

Strong Commercial and Business acumen
Solid understanding of market trends
Solid knowledge of the customer’s competitive landscape
Ethical conduct
Persuasive negotiation skills
360 degrees management.
Ability to lead by influencing superiors and lateral leadership to work with peers
Ability to work in multi-cultural and multi-lingual environments
Excellent verbal communication and creative writing skills
Business development, Commercial and technical orientation
Prior experience in working in International environments and workgroups
Hunting Skills

Qualifications and Experience

High School certificate
Bachelors degree in Sales/Marketing/Business/Commerce or Sales certification from CIM, MSK or KIM
At least 5 – 8 years prior working experience in ICT environments
At least 3 years in a sales role
Proven Sales track record
Broad knowledge of the MPLS /IPLC/VSAT solutions will be an added advantage
